True story: I have no idea how to sew. But lately, I've reeeeeally been wanting to learn. I have all sorts of things I want to make (apron! dining room chair cushions! dog polo shirts!), and I can't wait to learn and get started.
Do any of you sew? How did you learn? I am considering taking a 2.5 hour long intro to sewing class at Joann's - would you recommend doing something like this?
Okay, here's the super duper exciting part. I am starting a new blog that will chronicle my quest to learn how to sew! Yayyyy. But I need your help. Clearly, it must have some sort of creative name. But I'm stumped as to what it should be. Any suggestions??

You are a blogging machine today :) I heart you on snow days!!
My MIL gave me her sewing machine just before we moved and I have no idea how to sew either. Matt got me a book for Christmas about sewing and it is supposed to be really awesome...but I would totally recommend taking a class. I took my cake decorating classes at JoAnn's (not that it's the same or anything...) but they were really helpful.
Wishing you lots of luck!
I can sew a mean pillow. That's about it though. I would love to be able to make outfits for the dogs or curtains or something like that. Good Luck!
I used to sew all the time when I was younger and even made all my curtains and pillows for my first college apartment. I bought a new sewing machine last year and have only used it a handful of times. I want to get back into it, so let me know if you hear of good places to take a class!
I just got a sewing machine for Christmas and I love it!! I am very new at sewing too, but I love learning and all the different things I can do now too... enjoy!! I have blogged about some DIY things, with more to come
